Doris Wagner

RN, Clinical Specialist

With over 30 years of dedicated service in nursing, Doris Wagner, RN, is an expert in skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities. Her journey began in her teenage years, working as a dietary aide and dishwasher in a small, rural nursing home. This early exposure ignited a passion for elder care and memory support, guiding her to become a nurse aide and eventually a registered nurse. Throughout her career she has honed her skills in diverse settings, but she has always returned to her first love: long-term care. Her dedication to this sector is evident in her compassionate approach and deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by the elderly population.

Three years ago, seeking a change in climate and scenery, Doris and her husband relocated from Kansas to Colorado. The cooler, less humid weather and stunning mountain vistas have only deepened her love for outdoor activities. When not consulting, she enjoys hiking, gardening, and embracing the beauty of nature. Travel and exploration also play a significant role in her life, providing her with fresh perspectives and new ideas. Family is central to Doris' life. She remains closely connected to her daughter and her family in Kansas, including a spirited grandson, a grand-cat, and a grand-dog. Her son and his wife, along with their two grand-cats, are based in North Carolina. Sharing a philosophy with her grandson that “one man’s junk is another man’s treasure,” she delights in thrifting and antiquing, always on the lookout for unique finds.
