Responsibilities and functions:
Responsible for medical direction and overall coordination of medical care in your facility.
Review and sign incident reports, identify hazards to health and safety, provide recommendations to the sites’ administrator to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for residents, guests, and personnel.
Evaluate and take appropriate steps to correct situations of possible inadequate medical care that the Medical Director identifies or receives a report.
Be a medical representative of your site in discussions or meetings with other health care facilities, entities, or agencies.
Assist your Facility with special community outreach programs and educational activities, such as speaking engagements or internal education.
Attend QAPI Meetings for guidance and support.
